  • Summary

    The Service Technician Specialist is responsible for managing the quality and efficiency of all in-store service repairs. Successful candidates will have strong mechanical and analytical skills, possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and possess intermediate computer skills.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for managing and executing all aspects of business at the in-store services counter.
    • Professionally communicate with store associates and services leadership at all times.
    • Remain up-to-date and maintain a high functioning working knowledge of the repairs he-she is expected to perform.
    • Comply with all Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
    • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standard.
    • Responsible for shop maintenance, cleanliness and organization
    • Create basic routine reports.

     

    Non-Essential Functions:

    • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education/Years of Experience:

    • High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required
    • Successful completion of a hands-on classroom style certification training programs

    Other Qualifications:

    • Must be 18 years old. (NY state must be 21yrs old)
    • Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
    • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 30 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Repeatedly bending and lifting things from floor to shelves at eye level.
    • Intermediate computer skills. Efficient with Outlook and Excel. Comfortable with learning computer based applications.
    • Available most weekdays, some evening and/or weekend hours will be required as business dictates.
    • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
