  • Summary

    The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for all freight flow and receivables, all department sets and Planograms, tab sets/merchandising, shrink prevention, warehouse cleanliness according to company standards, safety, and assisting all other operational team job duties.   


    Essential Functions:

    • Assist in all aspects of accounting, operations, compliance, and shrink and profitability through the highest standards of integrity and ethics in all departments.
    • Drive the business to success by delivering metrics.
    • Partner with the ASM to recognize seasonality of the business and develop a strategy for merchandising the store for seasonal trends by adhering to company standards and planograms.
    • Involvement in the community to promote the brand and stay informed concerning competitors.
    • Demonstrate safe practices and procedures in store by adhering to company standards.
    • Ensure federal, state and local compliance to protect the store’s FFL and adhere to company policy on the handling and inventory of firearms.


    Non-Essential Functions:

    • Complete other duties as assigned.


    Key Results Expected from this Position:

    • Sales Revenue: Deliver sales revenue to establish budgets by ensuring inventory is on the sales floor in a timely fashion, sets are complete and tab merchandise is front and center.
    • EBITA Performance: Manage all aspects of the warehouse operation, ensure compliance is upheld, and shrink reduction processes are in place.
    • Customer Service: Drive in-stocks, ensure seasonal and tab sets are on time and to direction so we can deliver an exceptional customer experience.
    • Associate Engagement: Curate a culture of constant learning and improvement that engages the entire store team to strive to surpass company standards, improve safety, and increase job satisfaction to maintain lower than industry turnover.



    Education/Years of Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED required; 1+ year of work experience required and 2+ years of retail experience preferred.
    • Must be a minimum of 17 years of age.


    Other Qualifications:

    • Computer skills to effectively maneuver in a Windows based environment.
    • Proven ability to deliver unparalleled customer service.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact positively with associates, vendors, Base Camp and the management team as well as handling sensitive information in confidence.
    • Possess a positive, can-do attitude.
    • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and concisely in English is required.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business. Includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Demonstrates ethical and honest behavior in day to day interactions and business decisions.
    • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
    • Must be flexible and able to react to the needs of the business.
    • Able to freely access all areas of the register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, crouching, and kneeling; ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
