  • Summary

    The Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing information regarding customers, markets, and campaign effectiveness to measure performance and support business decisions.  The ideal candidate will have experience planning and managing various research projects, and be able to work closely with management to interpret findings.  This role will provide key marketing analytic services and reporting to Overton’s, Gander Outdoors and Camping World ecommerce teams.


    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for organizing, managing, and presenting data insights for all digital channels.
    • Create key performance indicators to monitor results across all levels of the website.
    • Analyze data from various sources to guide marketing and ecommerce decisions.
    • Design research projects that answer specific business questions by compiling statistical data.
    • Ensure that processes are measured and accurately reported through routine reports by extracting data from Omniture and other database tools.
    • Support ad-hoc requests for site performance and customer engagement data.
    • Measure site usability and effectiveness to optimize purchase funnel.
    • Able to work independently and proactively, identify issues and raise them to management, as well as offer potential solutions.
    • Increase the analytical capabilities of team members by introducing new analytical methods and refining analytical processes.
    • Assist in departmental budget and forecast process.


    Non-Essential Functions:

    Key Results Expected from this position:

    • Proactive in analyzing data and customer behavior with willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
    • Ability to quickly learn new skills, methodologies and software as it relates to reporting and campaign analysis.


    Education/Years of Experience:

    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Marketing, Business, Finance, or Statistics preferred.
    • 2-3 year’s experience in performing business analysis preferred.

    Other Qualifications:

    • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and support skills.
    • Strong computer skills with MS Office and experience utilizing tools to extract data points across systems.
    • Strong analytical skills, with ability to create reporting, and monitor KPI’s.
    • Excellent time management skills; ability to manage multiple details and deadlines; good oral and written presentation skills.
    • Ability to work on a team setting while at the same time being a self-starter.
